Image 3 - a transcription of the last will and testament of Absalom Looney, Sr., which reads,
"In the name of God Amen I Absalom Looney of Botetourt County living in perfect health and sound memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same, and knowing the uncertainty of this Earthly life do make and declare this my last Will and Testament & in manner and form Following
Item I give and Bequeath unto my son Michael Looney five Shilling as his part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Potts five shillings as her part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my son Peter Looney Five shilling as his part of my estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Mary Swanson five shillings as her part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Calwell five shillings as her part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my son Jonathan Looney five shillings as his part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my son Absalom Looney five shillings as his part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Ruth Looney five shillings as her part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Ann Haberson five shillings as her part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Catharine Looney five shillings as her part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Priscilla Colwell five shillings as her part of my Estate
Item I give and Bequeath unto my son Benjamin Looney all the remainder of my Estate not Before Bequeathe to him and his heirs for ever
Lastly I Constitute and appoint John Smyth and Stephen Holstine Executors of this my last Will and Testament. I Revoke and make void all Will or Wills by me formerly made in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my and seal this 28th Day of Sept 1791
