A newspaper article, which reads,
"OLD HOME BURNED IN BOTETOURT
'Locust Lawn,' Estate of A. T. Booze, Destroyed By Fire Last Week
It was learned here today that 'Locust Lawn, the colonial estate of A. T. Booze, near Springwood, in Botetourt county, was destroyed by fire during the past week.
The origin of the fire is unknown and the property was only partially covered by insurance. Mr. Booze feels his loss deeply, since, in such old mansions, there are many things which may never be replaced. The smoke house, the wind pump and cottage on the lawn were destroyed.
Mr. Booze is a prominent citizen and one of the largest fruit growers of the county." - Creator
