Description
A newspaper article of Pierce Chapel community news, which reads,

"Pierce Chapel Items.

Mr. Editor: - Being silent for so long, I will venture again to give you a few lines from this section, knowing you are always glad to have some one to help fill the waste basket.

Rev. O. W. Lusby preached a most excellent sermon at Pierce Chapel Sunday at 11 a. m., to a large and attentive audience.

Bro. Lusby is a man of great power for God and righteousness, and his deep spirituality and love for souls reaches the most hardened when they are brought in close contact with him.

The Sunday School at this place is in a most flourishing condition. I learn they have about 75 officers, teachers and scholars on the roll. The school is under the management of Mr. C. W. Nofsinger as Superintendent.

Mrs. Rufus Peck, of Zion's Hill, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Frank Crush.

Mrs. F. A. Rauch, who has been sick for several weeks, is improving slowly.

Mrs. Oliver Simpson, who has been visiting friends and relatives at Glen Wilton, has returned home.

Mrs. Lewis Craft visited friends in Spreading Spring Valley last Wednesday.

Mrs. Martin Riddlebarger is visiting relatives in Alleghany, Va.

Mrs. R. J. Gilliam spent several days last week with Miss Annie McClaugherty of Spreading Spring Valley. S.
