A newspaper article, which reads,
"A Triple Wedding
A very unusual, but lovely wedding took place at 'The Oaks,' the beautiful home of Dr. and Mrs. Geo. A. Boone, Troutville, Va., November 25th, when their daughters, Miss Virginia Dare Boone and Mr. Harvey E. Snyder, of Roanoke, Va., Miss Julia Ruby Boone and Mr. Samuel MacDaniel Stone, of Roanoke, and Miss Nora Painter, daughter of Mrs. Hattie Paynter, and Mr. Edgar Lee Boone, both of Troutville, were married by the same ceremony.
Promptly at 8:30 p. m., the guests, including only relatives or contracting parties, were invited into the parlor, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion with palms, ferns, and white and yellow chrysanthemums. Miss Josephine E. Weaver, of Philadelphia, Pa., on piano, and Mr. Marshall Schmidt, of Troutville, Va., on violin, played the lovely wedding march and during the ceremony softly played Hearts and Flowers. Music never sounded sweeter.
Dr. George Braxton Taylor, of Hollins, Va., pastor of the brides' performed the beautiful ring ceremony. Little Helen Louise Bryant, nice of the Misses Boone, never looked sweeter, dressed in taffeta and net, carrying a white satin pillow, with rings imbedded on a white rose. Miss Virginia Boone, in African Brown, Miss Julia Boone in Copenhagen blue, and Miss Nora Paynter in midnight blue cloth suits, trimmed in handsome fur with pictures hats to match. Mrs. C. E. Argenbright, of Roanoke, matron of honor, in white crepe de chine and lace, Miss Janie Doss, of Roanoke, maid of honor, in white taffeta with tiny yellow rosebuds.
The brides carried white chrysanthemums and maids yellow chrysanthemums.
The grooms and best man entered from a side door, Mr. Edgar Boone with his brother, Mr. John Boone, of Roanoke county; Mr. Henry Snyder with his brother, Mr. Glenn Snyder, of Roanoke; Mr. Samuel Stone with his uncle, Mr. L. H. Stone, of Roanoke, and joined the brides at the altar. After the ceremony an old fashion Virginia supper was served, the color scheme, white and yellow, being carried out. After supper the wedding party left in autos for Roanoke.
Messrs. Stone and Snyder are prominent business men in Roanoke, and Mr. Boone is an extensive fruit grower of Botetourt county.
After November 29th Mr. and Mrs. Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Stone will be at their pretty country home, 'Lone Oak,' just out of the city, and Mr. and Mrs. Boone, at Troutville, Va." - Format
