Newspaper article, which reads,
"COMMISSIONER'S SALE OF VALUABLE REAL ESTATE.
Persuant to the terms of that certain decree entered by the Circuit Court of Botetourt County, Virginia, on December, 10th, 1928, in the chancery cause therein pending under the style of J. S. Poague, et als., vs. A. J. Ackerly's heirs et als., the undersigned Special Commissioner will on Saturday, March 9th, 1929, At Eleven O'clock (11) a.m. in Front of The Bank of Buchanan, Buchanan, Virginia, offer for sale at public auction to the highest bidder, all of that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the Buchanan Magisterial District of Botetourt County, Virginia, which was conveyed to A. J. Ackerly by Lacy Rose and Lettie Rose, his wife, by deed dated June 11th, 1919, of record in the Clerk's office of the Circuit Court of Botetourt County, in Deed Book M., page 81. This land lies near the Rockbridge County line on the north side of the James River and contains 34 3-4 acres of land. This land is the A. J. Ackerly home place, and is the place on which A. A. Leighton now resides.
TERMS OF SALE: One-half (1/2) Cash on day of sale and the balance 12 months from date with interest from date of sale, the deferred payment to be evidenced by a note of the purchaser dated the day of sale, payable to said Special Commissioner 12 months after date, with interest from date and to be secured by a lien upon the land sold, with the right to the purchaser to pay the entire purchase price in cash on the day of the sale if he so desires.
