Description: In the year of Our Lord 1813, the 15th of May, the two congregations of Bender (Painter’s) and Obenchiens (Obanshane’s) have come together in Love and Peace with the Rev. R. J. Miller and Rev. Jacob Scherer (both ordained Ministers of Evangelical Lutheran Ministerium) and have come to an agreement and carefully decided that the two congregations not only unite with each other but also have placed themselves under the order and supervision of the Evangelical Lutheran Ministerium in North Carolina, and are ready and willing to submit themselves to the order of the said Ministerium in all things that shall occur in the management of the Church.
In affirmation of the above and of its faithful fulfillment such is hereby affirmed by the names of the undersigned and the witness of the above mentioned Ministers.
