According to previous notice Mr. Peter Shaver was elected to fill the office of Elder in the room of Mr. G. W. Rader, resigned, July 30th and was inaugurated Aug. 10th 1845.

The Rev. Samuel Sayford commenced his Ministerial labours at Union or Brick Church, Botetourt County, Va. on the 8th day of March, 1847.
